✅ Become a Certified Core 5 Coach

At Core 5, we’re passionate about developing strong leaders and delivering an exceptional experience for every athlete. If you're ready to step up and lead, follow the steps below to become a Certified Core 5 Coach:

🔹 Step 1: Register for the Active Season

Register for the current season via the website under the location you wish to coach. This step creates your personal coaching profile in our system and signals your interest in leading a team.

Please note: Registering does not guarantee placement. Final coaching assignments depend on league needs. Communication will be sent to qualifying coaches within 3-6 weeks before season kickoff.

🔹 Step 2: Attend the New Coach Clinic (Required for First-Time Coaches)

If this is your first time coaching with Core 5, you’ll be invited to attend an in-person New Coach Clinic at our Anthem Core 5 office. This hands-on session will prepare you with the knowledge and tools you’ll need to coach successfully.

🔹 Step 3: Complete a Background Check

After completing the clinic, you’ll receive an invitation to submit a secure background check through our trusted third-party provider, Checkr.

All coaches must pass this screening to be officially approved.

🔹 Step 4: Team Assignment

Once cleared, and if there is a coaching need in your child’s division, you will be officially assigned as a coach.

  • If you have multiple children, you may be eligible to coach in more than one division. However, please note that schedule conflicts may occur, and you may need to prioritize one team.
  • You’re encouraged to designate an Assistant Coach, who must also register and complete the same certification steps.

🔹 Step 5: Attend the Pre-Season Coaches Meeting

All certified coaches are required to attend the Pre-Season Coaches Meeting. This interactive session covers important updates, allows you to ask questions, and helps foster a strong coaching community.
During this meeting, you will also reserve your team’s practice times on a first-come, first-served basis.

Each team is allowed two 1-hour practice slots between Monday–Thursday, 5–8 PM.
Practice fields are typically located at our game sites or nearby parks within a 5-mile radius. Flexibility is encouraged, as popular time slots fill quickly.

🎉 You're Officially a Core 5 Coach!

Once all steps are completed, you're ready to lead your team into an exciting and impactful season. Thank you for your consideration in stepping up—we're thrilled to have you as part of the Core 5 coaching family!
